Can I run the flames without the heater turned on?

Yes. The flame effect and heater work independently of each other. You can enjoy the LED flame display all year round without generating any heat, which is useful in summer or if you just want ambient lighting.

Does this fireplace need a chimney or flue?

No. This is a vent-free electric fire, so no chimney, flue or external venting is required. It's a plug-in or hard-wired unit that only needs a standard electrical connection.

Can it be installed below a wall-mounted TV?

Yes. Heat exits from the front of the unit rather than the top, which makes it safe to position below a television or sound bar. Many people build this into a media wall for exactly that reason.

What's the difference between wall mounting and recessing it?

Surface wall mounting means the unit sits on top of the wall surface and is simpler to install. Recessing means building it into a stud wall or cavity for a flush, built-in look. Both methods are supported with the included brackets and screws.

How many colour options does the flame effect have?

There are 7 colour themes built in. You can pick one theme to stay fixed, or use custom mode to cycle through colours and stop on whichever shade you prefer at the time.

How long can I set the timer for?

The run-back timer goes up to 8 hours. Set it before bed or before leaving the house and the fire will switch itself off automatically once the time runs out.

What size room will the heater warm effectively?

The 1.1kW fan heater is rated to heat around 160 square feet, which is roughly 14.9 square metres. It's best suited to well-insulated rooms rather than large open-plan spaces or draughty areas.

Is the glass front safe to touch while it's running?

Yes. The glass uses cool-touch technology so the surface doesn't heat up during use. The unit has also been independently safety tested to BEAB Intertek standards and it includes a safety cut-out feature.
