You'll need to ensure your wall cavity or mounting area accommodates these dimensions with adequate clearance for ventilation and electrical connections.

How much electricity does this fireplace consume?

The unit operates at 1500W maximum power consumption when heating is active. Running costs depend on your electricity rate but typically cost around £0.30-0.45 per hour at current UK energy prices. The flame effects alone use minimal electricity, making them economical for year-round ambiance without heating.

Can I install this fireplace myself or do I need professional help?

Installation requires electrical knowledge and potentially structural work for recessed mounting. Wall mounting is simpler but still requires secure fixing to wall studs and proper electrical connection. Most installations benefit from professional fitting to ensure safety compliance with UK electrical regulations and proper wall support.

How realistic do the flames look and can I adjust their appearance?

The flames use LED technology with 13 different colours that combine with 13 fuel bed colours for 169 total combinations. The tempered glass front provides clear visibility of the dancing flame effects. You can adjust brightness, colour and speed to create realistic or decorative appearances suitable for different moods and room lighting.

What safety features are included and is it safe for children?

The unit uses clean electric technology with no real flames, smoke, or dust emissions. The tempered glass front stays relatively cool during operation. Built-in overheat protection and automatic shut-off provide additional safety. However, the heating elements do generate warmth, so supervision around young children is recommended during heating operation.

How effective is the heating and what size room will it warm?

The 1500W heating output effectively warms rooms up to 400 square feet (approximately 37 square metres). The adjustable thermostat maintains temperatures between 17°C and 37°C automatically. Two power settings provide flexibility for different room sizes and heating needs whilst maintaining energy efficiency.

Does the fireplace make noise during operation?

The unit operates in a low noise environment with minimal sound from the internal fan during heating mode. The flame effects are virtually silent. Any operational noise is typically quieter than standard household appliances and won't interfere with conversation or television viewing.

The fireplace includes a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and component failures. Oxhark Flame provides lifetime technical consulting services with customer support available for troubleshooting and maintenance advice. This coverage ensures long-term peace of mind and assistance with any operational questions.
